Great location - just across the road from the train and bus stations. Excellent food and great service.
Excellent & helpful staff, tidy and comfortable room and good value for money, also very convenient for the railway station and the town centre.
Food - the breakfasts were good, but the one evening meal we had there was not. A fish pie that was supposed to have prawns in it did not, but had egg substituted instead! Also, incorrect breakfast serving times were displayed in the room.
The Longboat is a very friendly and welcoming place to stay have stayed there on previous occasions, especially liked the mount bedroom with the four poster bed. it is a quiet and comfortable stay that is in the best location in penzance. Will definately be staying again. Also love the new look to the place, cant wait to return in june to see the finished product. The staff are very professional and vey very welcoming. It was the first time my partner had ever been to cornwall and thought i exaggerated how warm us cornish really are and how cornwall is so relaxing made all the better by the staff at the longboat, keep up the good work xxx
We travel to penzance by train and it was so close, we could hardly believe it, and also it was right on the main street. The staff were very helpful and very accomodating of our needs. We only stayed two nights but it made a great mid-week break.
Directly across from the train station, which made catching an early morning train easy.
After a 'lengthy' train journey the welcome we received a 'homely' welcome from Chris. Ryan, the manager, and his team could not have been more friendly during our stay. The Longboat itself typifies the Cornish type Inn we were looking for. It is immediately opposite the station but you would not know this until you go outside. They have their own cinema showing different films each night. The meals were beautiful and as we walking the Cornish Coastal Path in stages their 'Full Cornish Breakfast' can be recommended. The bus station is the other side of the station and places like St Ives and Lands Ends are very short bus journeys away.
Too many beers to choose from !! :)
Functional hotel above a pub. Clean rooms, good price for our travelling group (we took 4 rooms). The morning breakfast waiter had never made porridge before (?) but everything was dealt with well.
good friendly staff. good food. excellent value for money
appeared to be damp smell in bathroom, caused by shower curtain, but no big issue.
The people were extremely friendly. The owners have been doing different value-adding projects and everyone seems excited about the progress and potential. Food was good.
Facilities are older, although being upgraded, so you need to take that into consideration.
Breakfast was ok
Very basic rooms and decorations, ok for a one night stay
very comfortable rooms nice decor lovely surroundings and right by the train station and bus station friendly staff will be staying there again but the cooked breakfast could be a bit bigger havent seen such a small sausage and piece of bacon for a long time
Handy for public transport and town centre
Poor Wi-Fi reception in room.
Food in the downstairs bar area was good and while parking was in nearby public carpark it was satisfactory given city location.
Rooms were barely adequate , small and dated and carrying luggage upstairs was a challenge ..
The staff were friendly and room nice. Told them about the noise and were very appolagetic.
Very noisey from nightclub near hotel on Friday and Saturday night. Pump in bathroom noisey.
The food was very nice . Rooms were nice and big. The location was prefectable to step off the train and the hotel is there which was ideal.
Such a shame the heating went down during the first night along with the tv. But the staff sorted it out which was very good .Also the noise out on the street , could do with new windows .
